Newsletter Template System

It looked like a content problem. Four teams, four newsletters, four different voices landing in the same inbox every month. But the content wasn’t the issue — the experience was.

[01] READING THE ROOM

Four internal teams. One client base. Four separate newsletters. The fix was obvious — one unified template that could carry four distinct voices without losing brand consistency.

[02]  BUILDING THE FIX

I started with a full audit of each team’s existing newsletter. Long paragraphs, no imagery, low click-through rates — the content wasn’t the problem, the design was. Using a mobile-first approach in Adobe XD, I rebuilt the experience into digestible sections that teased content and linked out to full articles rather than overwhelming readers upfront.

My understanding of email client parameters and rendering constraints informed every design decision — ensuring a smooth handoff to the development team. I also delivered a content guidelines document with character limits per section, so the template would always render cleanly regardless of who was writing.

[03] SHIPPED. LOVED. DONE.
A scalable, brand-consistent system adopted company-wide at launch. Zero revision requests.
