THE PROCESS
First, the unglamorous part — servers, domains, WordPress installations, plugin conflicts at midnight, and the occasional hosting provider that tests your patience. Not the stuff that makes it into the portfolio. But without it, nothing else works.
Then the fun part. Translating a client’s vision into something that actually makes sense on a screen. Wireframes that got scribbled on, revised, scribbled on again. Design decisions debated over video calls. Color palettes that took three rounds to get right. You know how it goes.
And finally — the part that actually matters. Handing it off. Not just the files, but the knowledge. Every client got a training session so they could own their site, update their content, and never have to call me because they accidentally deleted their homepage. (It happens. More than you’d think.)
